Poeme Electronique - 2 Songs

A great British 80's band that for some reason never made it BIG. They achieved a great synth pop/minimal wave sound with cool female vocals and great syths - sometimes with a tinge of that dark pop sound and that cool 80's Dr. Who synth. These two songs are a fav falong of course with their hit "The Echoes Fade" & "V.O.I.C.E." rom their 2009 Re-Issue of their 1980's album "The Echoes Fade", which can be downloaded on various music sites etc.

1. Rendezvous
2. My Complicated Mind
Both are from around 1982 - 1983

Mecano - No Pintamos Nada (1984)

Ahhhh this awesome song takes me back to the beaches of Mexico and the nitelife of Mexico City. One of Spain's most succesful synth pop/new wave band that lasted from '81 til about '93 and not to be confused with the other Mecano (from the Netherlands). Ana Torroja went solo after they parted and has had success in her homecountry as well as Mexico - where I first heard of them and bought a "Best of" tape back in '89. Very awesome song with all the cool 80's stuff I love and a slight EBM/industrial feel to it, which is my fav from this group. Here is "No Pintamos Nada" taken from the classic (and a must have album "Ye Viene El Sol"). I also included "No Pintamos Nada (Nueva Version Industrial)" which is not as great but still enjoyable. Enjoy!

Mention - Strange World 12" (2008)

All I gotta say is that when my friend 1st sent me this I was like; "wow what a cool forgotten 80's band!" - come to find out this is a 2008 release. What makes this cool for you 80's synth pop/Italo disco fans is that it sounds like an 80's song - the instrumentations and vocals totally fool you into believing that it came from then. Awesome that some bands recreate the 80's feel so perfectly. A must have!

Mention - Strange World 12"

Stereo - Somewhere In The Night (Extended Version) 12" [1982]

Wow what a cool song! I love discovering 80's classics that somehow passed me by and this song is just a great exsample of 80's synth. Awesome French synth-pop duo with an "ahead of their time" sound. At first when I heard it I thought it was a woman singing but come to find out it was a dude with cool vocals. A slightly mysterious/haunting synth-pop dance tune that has everything I love - including a nice 80's sax solo.

Gitane Demone - A Heavenly Melancholy Maxi (1992)

This woman needs no introduction having been the former female siren on the legendary L.A. death rock group Christian Death and a close friend of the late Rozz Williams. She is so underrated but has amassed a cult following and is very highly respected. Her early material fused jazz & pop - creating a cool blend of goth pop. This single is still getting air play on many Indie radio stations as well as being played in "Goth" clubs around the globe. I fucking love this woman because she's real and has always been upfront about her drug addictions and her love for her dearest friend Rozz. She is still going after all these years and is a true fucking DIVA! I included her classic 1986 piece "Tales Of Innocence" from her time with Christian Death because it's such an awesome emotional song. Video of "A Heavenly Melancholy" also included and it's pretty cool and obviously very 90's and Gitane looks awesome.

Tracks:
1. A Heavenly Melancholy (Single Version)
2. A Heavenly Melancholy (Set Me Free) [Muted Club Mix]
Bonus 3. Tales Of Innocence
Bonus 4. A Heavenly Melancholy (Video)
Enjoy!
