Octobre - Next Year In Asia (1982)

Don't know very much about these French post-punk/dream pop artists but liked what I heard. Apperantly they only released 3 items before they either split or became another band?
Anyway enjoy Octobre's Next Year In Asia EP (1982):

  1. Ok to get you an better idea about this mini long player from Octobre, you have to know it was produced by Franck Darcel who is a "cult star" for cold wave in France in the late 60 and beginning 70's. Indeed, He formed a band named "Marquis de Sade". They made 2 lp. "Dantzig twist" and "Rue de Siam". If you never heard about those ones be ready to heard two musical bombs. They are cult albums. Actually Octobre is the next band he made after Marquis de sade. You can even see this is the same line up in the "Next year in Asia" except Philippe Pascal the singer of Marquis de Sade . Then 2 others members are interesting. First, Eric le Lan because he is the nephew of Darcel. These days he makes jazz. Second, Arnold Turboust. He also plays in Marquis de Sade and Octobre occasionaly but Darcel and him works together with a french singer very famous in France named Etienne Daho. Today Darcel makes some politic in Bretagne which is the west part of France. Hope this helped you.
